Tendring Hundred Show 2010 Images
This year even the weather was perfect at the Tendring Hundred Show, temperatures in the top 20C with a clear blue sky and a slight breeze. A perfect day out for the family. I have no idea about the numbers that attended the show but the car parks were certainly full and busy and so was the showground.
Tendring Hundred Show
The show is an annual agricultural event bringing together the farming community, the associated organizations, clubs and the general public. Lots of shows, events and displays in the various categories of farm animals, (equestrian and livestock), prizes, nominations and a chance for the public to get a closer look at what farmers and smallholders do.

Poultry Show by the Colchester Poultry Club
Rabbit Show by the Colchester & District Fur & Fancy Rabbit Club
Cavy (Guinea Pig) Show by the Suffolk Rabbit & Cavy Club
Rat Show by the National Fancy Rat Society
Pigeon Show
and….. a show for all the boys……..Vintage Car Show by the Colchester Vintage Motor Club.
The show is a great place for youngster to learn about animals and farming (as well as the adults of course).
Tendring Show Tradition
The Tendring Show was founded way back in 1899 by the Tendring Hundreds Farmers Club as a way for the local farmers to keep abreast of the latest technology that was available to them as well as a way to improve stock rearing.
