The weather has been glorious here for the past few days, the early morning mist dissolving into beautiful sunshine, something we really miss here in Essex these days. Together with the rains we have had over the past few weeks the garden is now flourishing looking so green and pretty with all the garden flowers that are exploding everywhere . Even the alyssum after looking so frail has picked up and is looking really splendid this year.
Alyssum, or as more commonly known – Sweet Alison, is an easy to grow ground cover plant. The flowers on our variety are brilliant white providing low ground cover clumps where needed. I don’t think I have ever seen it looking so delightful, but then it’s hardly surprising after all the rain we have had. Gallons of it, after a long dry period. Global warming perhaps?
