Blue Cornflower

The warmer weather here in S.E England has encouraged a beautiful display of the tall and slender Blue Cornflower in our garden, a joy for all to see. The bugs love them too. I have no idea what this little bug is called that was sitting on the cornflower head, but it appeared to be enjoying something. Time to grab the Nikon and take a few shots!

Cornflower

Years ago the Cornflower was considered a troublesome weed, today its is on the  GB Endangered list and protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 due to its decline over the  past century.
