A walk in the sunshine

It has been a glorious spring day here, a good day for a walk in the sunshine. It really does feel like spring is just about here. The air is crisp and clear with the sound of birds chirping in the background, insects buzzing and even the ladybirds were out enjoying the warmth of the sun. It’s a wonderful time to go out armed with a camera to capture the beauty of some of the early spring flowers.

To the left and to the right one can see beautiful displays of crocuses, white and purple competing with the shooting daffodils. The colours just look so vibrant in the afternoon sun. Crocuses are such an easy plant to grow in the garden, they come from corms that you plant out and are available in many varieties and colours to provide a wonderful display colour in the early months of the year. They have been known to flower as early as January but that all depends on the severity of the winter.

Crocuses Photo

This photo was shot with a Panasonic Lumix TZ10, a simple point and shoot camera, the kind you can put in your pocket when you go out for a leisurely stroll. Not always do you want to take a big bulky camera with you especially when you are accompanied by young children.
